Procedure

The candidate (and not his/her dependants) must be a graduate from a Belgian or foreign university or institute of higher education; a successful entrepreneurship is also accepted. He must be sponsored by at least two members with at least three years of membership; one of them must be of Belgian nationality. One of the sponsors will submit a detailed letter of recommendation to the President of the Balloting Committee. A foreign candidate can be introduced by his/her Ambassador.

The Balloting Committee meets at least four times a year. It conducts the necessary enquiries and may ask for additional information. Its decisions are final and need not be justified .
